Major Charges/Projects
The Public Affairs and Advocacy Committee is responsible for addressing advocacy, public relations, and regulatory issues of apheresis and ASFA.Recent projects of the Committee include:
- Publication of Therapeutic Apheresis: A Guide to Billing and Securing Appropriate Reimbursement (2nd Edition, 2006)
- Development of a new section of the ASFA website, devoted to regulatory news
Meeting Schedule
The Public Affairs and Advocacy Committee Meets on an ad hoc basis via teleconference. The Committee also meets in person at the Annual Meeting.
Committee Membership Status
ASFA members are invited to apply to serve on the Public Affairs and Advocacy Committee by sending an email, stating their interest in joining the Allied Health Committee to asfa@apheresis.org. Please include a brief CV as an attachment to your email.
