The Blood and Donor Services program at CHOC provides comprehensive blood therapy for children.  We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to provide leadership for the coordination of clinical and administrative activities for patients, donors, and associates.  You will perform a key role in assuring organizational compliance with FDA cGMPs, as well as AABB, CAP and JCAHO standards.

To qualify, you must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a BSN, CA license, PALS, and BLS.  Requires two years of blood donor apheresis and blood collection experience and one year of nursing management or supervisory experience in a clinical area of an acute facility.  Two years of pediatric therapeutic apheresis experience preferred.

Mayo Clinic has a full-time opening for an Apheresis Registered Nurse at the Phoenix location in the Outpatient Infusion Department (OPIV).  OPIV has 10 treatment an procedural bays and provides treatment to patients requiring care in the outpatient setting. The OPIV nurses are specialty educated in placement of peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC), accessing of intravascular access devices, assessment of surgically implanted central lines, and the care and maintenance of all central lines.
   
Qualifications:

  • Current Arizona or Compact State registered nurse licensure required
  • BSN preferred
  • Minimum 1+ years Registered Nurse experience required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate of completion preferred on hire or required within 30 days and maintains
  • Satisfactory completion of ECG competency within six months of hire and maintenance of competence annually
  • Works flexible hours that may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends and on-call.
  • Adapts to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting
  • Exhibits good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills preferred
  • Maintains ACLS and PALS as required by specific units
  • Maintains specialty certification per unit guidelines

POSITION SUMMARY:

Gambro BCT is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Market Development Manager - Americas. This individual will hold responsibility for providing leadership in the areas of strategic direction and objectives, marketing strategies and sales tools, and (product line) problem resolution in a particular market area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analyze and solve complex and or unusual customer problems in a timely manner.

Working with a high degree of independence, translates customer needs into product conceptualization, development and design objectives and marketing strategies.

Provides leadership during product trials and introductions. Coordinates efforts with manufacturing, engineering, quality, worldwide sales and other functional areas to produce innovative products that meet customer needs.

Establishes and is held accountable for the achievement of sales and market share goals for assigned products.

Collects and analyzes competitor information and tracks sales. Develops and refines marketing, promotional and pricing strategies.

Provide detailed input/feedback to Product Management Team to recommend changes in product design, manufacturing, quality or any other aspect of the product or service.

Develops and coordinates the production of product introduction, sales and support materials, brochures and other tools.

Organizes, coordinates and presents product seminars for customers and sales personnel.

Monitors and analyzes indicators of business performance: Sales versus Forecast (units, revenue, gross profit), actual versus plan selling price, product mix, disposables utilization, competitor information, and other relevant marketing factors.

Develops and implements the introductory business plans for new products or product enhancements to assure proper positioning strategies. Coordinates pre-launch, launch and post-launch activities.

Works closely with the Sales organization and Global Marketing Managers to successfully identify business opportunities, support tools, and new marketing programs in a timely and high quality manner. Requires a thorough understanding of marketplace dynamics as they relate to product, price, distribution, and overall customer financial objectives.

Provides direction on the design and implementation of promotion, sales force collateral, and customer communication materials to ensure consistency with customer’s needs and the selling system approach. Evaluates communication and documentation programs and support tools for effectiveness through customer and sales force feedback as well as objective research. Uses a sales force automation application in compliance with its business rule and user guidelines to disseminate information in all Americas market.

Assists customers and sales personnel through the provision of sales training, clinical in-service assistance and marketing programs.

Assists customers in the optimal use of products.

Special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge necessary to perform in this position is generally acquired through a relevant Bachelor’s degree and 8 or more years of relevant technical or clinical experience, with emphasis in Sales, Marketing or Business.

Extensive knowledge of product applications /therapies and the markets for which the product or products for which the incumbent has responsibility are used.

Demonstrated and effective leadership ability and managerial skills.

Extensive knowledge of sales/marketing strategic planning and program delivery.

Demonstrated analytical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems and develop programs with creativity and good judgment.
