Major Charges/Projects

The Abstracts Committee is responsible for reviewing and scoring abstracts submitted for the Annual Meeting.  The Committee is also responsible for shortlisting the highest quality abstracts and selecting the recipients for the series of Best Abstracts Awards.  The charge was recently moved from the Awards Committee to the Abstracts Committee to avoid duplication of work in the award selection process.

Meeting Schedule

The Abstracts Committee conducts business mainly through email and reviews abstracts using an online abstract review system.  The activity of the Committee mainly occurs during the one month period following the abstract submission deadline in early January.

Committee Membership Status

ASFA members are invited to apply to serve on the Abstracts Committee by sending an email, stating their interest in joining the Abstracts Committee to asfa@apheresis.org.  Please include a brief CV as an attachment to your email.
